Welcome

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the 2009/2010 school year.  As I enter my sixth year at Macaulay I am pleased at the changes our staff continues to implement.  No matter the pace of change given to the school, staff here responds in an exemplary manner.  In turn, our students dig deeper and do an amazing job working with new information and new initiatives in education.  Together we make an awesome combination for which parents continue to show overwhelming support.  We are pleased this year to seize opportunities and challenges with more and smaller primary class sizes, and at the same time mostly single grade classes for the first time in many years.  I am confident that we have the knowledge, skills and dedication to continue the success for which Macaulay is well known.   Take pride in your children and their accomplishments.  We are honoured to have them here at Macaulay.  Watch us grow!

This School Agenda should make the trip between school and home on a daily basis.  It has proven to be both beneficial and crucial in assisting students to build important organizational skills.  Students will be required to regularly record homework assignments and test dates as well as other important school events and personal reminders.

And, please take a few moments to look over important information that follows.  As the year progresses, I would encourage you to address your concerns, questions, or suggestions to us at the school.  Open communication between home and school will help to create a positive and rewarding learning experience for everyone.  I sincerely hope that every student strives to achieve his or her personal best at Macaulay Public School and has an educational experience that will always be remembered.

Sincerely,

R. Jewiss,

Principal
